At North Peak, we believe in using our skills and experience to not only help businesses and home owners create the custom space they need, we also want to help the next generation. We do that through working with District 51’s Careers in Construction Colorado program, and also through our volunteer efforts with programs like GJ Blackout.
We believe in our community and want to see it grow; by providing our youth with recreational and career opportunities, we can help to empower and lead the next generation.
Grand Junction Blackout holds grand opening for new field house
After 15 years in operation, Grand Junction Blackout Sports Fieldhouse finally has home court advantage.
The local youth basketball organization christened their new field house Saturday morning with an event featuring a ceremonial ribbon cutting, plaque unveiling, and speeches from several members of the organization.
Building next generation’s builders
Last school year was like framing a house for Careers in Construction Colorado when it got Palisade High School to offer its classes.
This school year, it’s putting on the roof and tacking on siding as the program expanded into Grand Junction and Fruita Monument high schools and the School District 51 Career Center.
